At The Table

There’s something so symbolic about a table - especially at Thanksgiving. Look past the turkey, stuffing, and pumpkin pie - one of the things that really defines Thanksgiving is who is welcomed to the dinner table. Jesus didn’t celebrate Thanksgiving, but there is a Last Supper table: where a collection of messy people represented enthusiasm and skepticism, zeal and doubt, head and heart, anger, opportunism, betrayal, and unworthiness - these are the people Jesus welcomed to his table.
